Sunny St George, and a little bit of Twilight, too!

So a couple weekends ago, Brad, Kassi, and I went with the Clegg side of the family down to St George. It was exactly what I needed! We left Thursday morning, and the drive down was actually not bad. I didn't know how Kassi would be. Last year we drove to Disneyland, and on the way down she was pretty good, but for most of the way back she screamed and screamed and screamed! So I was pleasantly surprised when she only through one fit, cause she didn't want to get back in her car seat. We borrowed my mom's portable DVD player, which was heaven sent, and we were there before I knew it. We stayed in a beautiful house, and each family had there own bedroom. It was so nice!

The first day we pretty much just chilled and let the kids play. On Friday Kristen, Jesse, and their kids went with us shopping at the outlets, and then we went over to the Old Tabernacle and played in this really cute water area. Kassi loved it! Then the men took the kids, and Kristen and I went and got a pedicure. It was so nice and relaxing! That night Brian and Cally got there, and we were all wondering what to do. Twilight was coming out that night at midnight, and Kristen and I were always planning on going, but I had a nasty cold and Kristen wasn't feeling too hot, so we were debating whether we should go or not. Well, at about ten, all the men and kids were asleep. Cally, Kristen, and I were just sitting around talking, so we decided we would do it! So we headed to Walmart. Let me tell you, I am a HUGE Twilight fan, but I feel that I have it under control. There were some people there that were a little too crazy for me! Anyway, we waited in line for what seems like forever, and I finally got my Twilight copy!

On Saturday, we all went to Snow Canyon. It was so beautiful! We drove around and then did some hiking and played in the sand dunes. We had so much fun! We went back, and everyone laid down for a nap. That night we went to the Pizza Factory for dinner. It was so yummy! Then we went back to the house and put the kids to bed, and the women watched Twilight. Ya, ya, I know. A little obsessed......

On Sunday we headed home. And once again, I was happy that Kassi was so good. She even slept for a little bit! It was such a nice weekend. I have the best in-laws in the world. I love them all so much! Here are some pics!

Justin's Farewell and MTC Photos

My baby brother, Justin, is on a mission. He is going to Fort Worth, Texas. I am so beyond proud of him. He will be an amazing missionary. He is in the MTC already and absolutely loving it. As much as I miss him, there is no other place I would want him to be! Love you Jussy!

I'm a big girl now!

A lot of you know I was having a hard time potty training Kassi. She was going back and forth with it for a year and a half. She would go on the potty, and then refuse to the next day. Most of it was my fault. I just wasn't consistent enough. Well, when Brad had his surgery we thought that would be a good time to go Gun Ho with the whole potty training thing because we were going to be home for awhile. Little did we know what a stressful time that would be, but we had already started her doing it, and she didn't want to go back. So she was more than ready, I just kept finding the excuse not to. I always said I would never be the mom with a three year old that wears a diaper, but I definitely ate my words. She is doing so great, and has hardly had any accidents! I am just glad it is DONE! YEA!!!!!!!!

Here's what happened..............

Ok, I have received several phone calls, and people have been stopping by my house to see what happened Saturday night. So I thought I would just post it on here for all of you who are curious.(Heck, I would be!)
Brad had surgery on Thursday, and was actually doing really well, until Saturday. He started to feel lightheaded and was having a hard time breathing. That night around ten or so, he went to stand up and collapsed on the floor. His body went rigid, and his hands were contorted(is that a word?) in like a claw shape, and he couldn't move. So I frantically called 911. My in-laws came over, thank goodness, cause I think I would have lost it without them there. By the time the ambulance and firemen arrived, Brad's whole body was numb. He could barely talk. They worked quickly and were able to get things under control. What had happened was the anesthesia and Lortab had a bad affect on Brad. I'm not going to go into too many details, just know that Brad is ok. He is doing so much better. This was the worst night of my life, and I am still having nightmares from it, but they did a bunch of tests, and Brad is going to be fine. Thank you for all of your phone calls, and prayers. It's been a tough week, but we have had so much love and support from everyone. So THANK YOU!
