7 Years!

Ok, I am not doing things in order here on my blog. Last time I posted it should have been about my anniversary. But to be honest, I just sort of forgot. That's the hard thing with getting married in December. Your anniversary gets kinda shuffled in the total chaos that is surrounding you. We did celebrate it, though. Brad was so sweet and brought me home flowers. Then we went out to dinner and went and saw New Moon. Brad knew I really wanted to see it again, so being the sweet husband that he is, he sat through it with me. I was elated. Him, not so much. It was a good anniversary.

I just want to take a second and say how grateful I am for Brad. I truly married my best friend. You know when you are going through rough patches in your lives, and it can either drive a wedge in your marriage or bring it closer together? Well, for us right now it is infertility. We can not get pregnant, and it has been super hard. I hear of couples not being able to get preg and the husbands won't do anything about it. They won't get tested, and expect the woman to do everything. Well, that's not Brad. He had to get surgery for heaven's sake, and as painful and hard as that was, he said he would do it again if it meant we could have another baby. This trial we are going through has only brought us closer together. He is an amazing support to me, and encourages me whenever I get down. He is always willing to help those around him, and would do anything for Kassi and me. (As I am sitting here typing, he is trying to fix my leaky toilet.) I love Brad more than I could have imagined possible, and I am so lucky to be married to him.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY BABE! LOVE YOU!

Christmas Festivities!

I feel bad cause I just don't spend a whole lot of time on my blog. Someday I am going to print this out and be sad that I didn't put more details into it. But I just can't find the time! Here I am on Christmas Eve, frantically trying to do 50 things at once, and blogging is one of them! So, this is going to be short and sweet.

We love to go to the Festival of Trees every year. This year was no exception. I always go with my mom, my sister-in-law, Heather, and her 2 boys. We had tons of fun as usual. Their fav part wasn't the trees, though. It was watching the dancers. Here is Kassi watching the little kids dance:

Here is Heather, Kassi, and Danny

It was getting late, but I promised Kassi we could go see Santa. So we waited,

And waited,

for over an HOUR! We get up to the front, just have a couple people in front of us, and what does Kassi do? She announces that she has to go potty. Lovely. So the nice people in front of us let us go in front of them. It was a very quick trip with Santa, but at least I got a good pic.

Last week for Family Home Evening we made a gingerbread house. Turned out way cute. Kassi loved it, well she loved eating the candy anyway.

And last but not least is the Annual Clegg Family Christmas Party. Something I look forward to every year.

I hope all of you have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Thanksgiving, Finally!

So I thought I should post my pics from Thanksgiving since Christmas is less than two weeks away. We had such a great Thanksgiving, and let me tell you, I am SO grateful for my extended family and all my in-laws! They are so wonderful. Since it was my turn to be at my in-laws house for Thanksgiving this year, my mom decided to put Thanksgiving on early. She made the huge dinner the Sunday before. Here are some pics.

Trip to Arizona

As you know from one of my previous posts, my mom made a CD for her friend, Kristi, that has lung cancer. Well, she wanted to give the CD to Kristi personally, so my mom, my sister, and me left early last Friday morning and headed for Phoenix. The majority of my extended family lives in Arizona, so we were excited to see everyone. To make things even better, we found out my brother who lives in St Louis was going to be in Phoenix for work that weekend. So we got there around 5pm and saw my Grandpa Swanson, Aunt Diane(my dad's sister,) Uncle Tony and their kids. They fed us a delicious dinner, and then we left to go see Jordan at his hotel. It was so good to see him. I hadn't seen him in almost a year. So we all sat and talked and caught up on everything.

The next day we went to lunch with a bunch of my mom's friends from high school. Kristi was supposed to go with us, but she was feeling too terrible to go. My mom went to go see her after and show her the CD. Laura and I decided to let them have some time together, so we decided to go.....SHOPPING! There is this store there that is called Last Chance. It is clothes and shoes from Nordstroms that go to Nordstrom Rack and then they end up at last chance. Why they don't have one here in Utah is beyond me. We had so much fun, and found some great stuff at amazing prices!(i.e. Spanx for $8 reg $30!)

Me and Laura about to go into Last Chance!

After we shopped til we dropped,(Ha, I'm lame!) we went to go see Kristi. It was very hard for me to see her like that. It broke my heart to see her suffering. But the happiness that this CD my mom made is bringing to her is unbelievable. She just cried when she heard it, which in turn made the rest of us cry. She is an unbelievably strong lady! Here are some pics of my mom and Kristi.

After we saw Kristi, we went to go see some of my mom's brothers. First is my mom and my Uncle Garrick.

Then we went and saw my Uncle Matt.

THEN, we went and saw my Aunt Janice,(my Dad's sister) and my cousins Jaclyn and Christina with their kids Westin, Lana, and Arayas.

Lana, Laura, and my mom.

Christina and Arayas

Jaclyn and Westin

All and all it was a very short trip,(we came back Sunday)but we were able to see alot of our family, and see Kristi as well. It was so much fun to be with my 2 best friends. Love you Laura and Mom!

P.S. Sorry some of these pics aren't clear. My camera sucks!

New Moon Review

So, I was able to go see New Moon with a ton of my great friends and family tonight at 6. Yes, before most of you!:) I LOVED IT! Absolutley loved it! I had pretty high expectations, and it blew them all away. Everything was better in this one. I felt the acting, directing, makeup, etc etc, was all better! I feel a little wierd saying this cause Taylor Lautner is only 17, but he looked freakin amazing! As much as I am Team Edward, I can't help but feeling a little torn. But this movie is mostly about Jacob and Bella, so you have to have some connection with him. Eclipse will make everyone love Edward just as much again! For those of you who saw Twilight and weren't big fans, give New Moon a chance! It totally blew Twilight out of the water for me!

Only 6 more months til Eclipse..............

My Mom's CD-for a good cause

A lot of you know that my mom is an amazing singer. She was in the Utah Opera for many years, and has been in the Tabernacle Choir for quite a while now. She really has dedicated her life to:

1. The gospel
2. Her family
3. Music

She has never thought about doing a CD until now. Let me tell you a little bit about Kristi. Kristi and my mom are best friends. She is an amazing woman. Has a beautiful family. She was Mrs Arizona, and loves to collect antiques. She has written several children's books, and is the most loving and caring person you'll ever meet. Several years ago, Kristi's husband was diagnosed with lung cancer. Sadly he passed away. Kristi was able to find love again and get married to a wonderful man. Then, to everyone's astonishment, Kristi was also diagnosed with the SAME form of lung cancer. Neither of them had smoked a cigarette in their life! Her husband has since lost his job, and the medical bills are piling up. My mom has been wracking her brain, trying to figure out what she can do to help when one of her friends mentioned a CD. My mom instantly dismissed it. But the more she thought and prayed about it, she felt it was the right thing to do. So after a lot of hard work, my mom has released the CD. It is absolutely AMAZING. And ALL the proceeds go to Kristi. If any of you want to buy a CD, or even just make a donation, please go to the website, http://www.triciasings.com.

Thanks is advance for all your love and support!

Halloween was so much fun this year! It was crazy! It seemed like we were jumping from party to party! Grandma and Grandpa Clegg were in St George this year for Halloween, so we had a party with them the Monday before. Grandma goes all out with the games and treats.
