July 24th at Heber Valley Camp!

Pioneer Day was so much fun this year! The whole Clegg side of the family went up to Heber Valley Camp. It is absolutley beautiful there! It is owned by the church and run by senior missionaries. Everything is so well taken care of and clean! My great in-laws rented out 3 cabins in this little cove area. It had an area for cooking and even a refrigerator we could use. Plus the bathrooms were right down the road.(That is my idea of camping!)

There is a little lake there where you can get in a canoe or a paddle boat and just row around it. The wildlife there is amazing. There were deer all over. And they weren't scared by humans. While rowing around the lake there would be deer just laying on the side in the grass. You could seriously make eye contact with them! The setting was absolutley gorgeous! We also did some rope courses while we there.(Ya know, the courses where you challenge yourself and there is a lesson to go along with it.) Those were fun doing together with the family. The first one we did was the rope swing. It freaked the crap out of me! They put you in a harness, pull you up high, and then let you go. I'm super scared of heights, so I'm not into the free falling thing, but I tried to conquer my fear,(key word is tried) and went on it. It was, um, fun. They even put the little kids on it and just let them swing around.

Anyway, if you all are wondering where to go camping where it is high in the mountains, you are surrounded by wildlife, and you have flushing toilets and cabins to sleep in, Heber Valley Camp is where you should go! It was so fun, and I can't wait to go next year! Here are some pics.....................

This deer was there both of the days we were. It seriously would just sit there. We got so close to it. These animals are so beautiful to me!

They had a huge sandbox for the kids to play in at the lake. They were more happy playing in the sand than doing anything else!

July 4th

So, I thought since it is almost the 24th, I better hurry and post pics from the fourth. That day was a crazy day. Brad and me actually spent most of the day looking at houses. Kassi went over to my parent's house and my mom took her to go see Ice Age 3. We got to my parent's house in enough time to go pick up Kassi and head over to my Uncle Steve's house. They had a great BBQ and then we did our own little firework show. We left there just in time to arrive at the Clegg circle firework show. Really busy, but fun day! Here are some pics:

My Uncle Steve bought this big blow up water slide. He set it all up for the kids to play on it. Danny wouldn't go anywhere near it, and Kassi and Zachy didn't want to slide down it. Robby tried and tried to get them to go up, but they both decided they wanted to play at the bottom where the water was.

Brad's Sense of Humor

I was going through some of my old emails, and found this email Brad sent to me. I love filling out those emails that ask you questions about yourself, and then you forward them to your friends, and they fill it out, and so on. Well, there was one I filled out last year that Brad filled out and sent back to me. Some of you have already read it, but this is one I want to post on here so I can always have a copy. For those of you that don't know Brad, he is freakin hilarious. But he tends to only show that side of himself to those who know him really well. Hope this puts a smile on your face. 23. FAVORITE SMELLS? In summer it would be the smell of the deodorizer when you spray it in the air just after you use the bathroom. It seems odd, but it makes me feel at ease. No one will know what just happened because of the sneaky spray I just released from the bottle. Go ahead, breathe it in. You can kind of still smell it, so don't breath in too deep.
24. WHO WAS THE LAST PERSON YOU TALKED TO ON THE PHONE? Depends who's asking. If it is the person I just spoke with on the phone, do you want to know who I spoke with just before you? If so, I'd need to know who's asking so I can find out who I spoke with just before I spoke with you. It could have been months ago, even years. Who are you?
25. DO YOU LIKE THE PERSON WHO SENT THIS TO YOU? Again, it depends
26. FAVORITE SPORTS TO WATCH? It's not the sport that intrigues me. It's the speed of the coverage. I think fast coverage is kind of exciting, yet slow coverage makes more sense. So I'm confused by the phrasing of the question.

41. WHAT DID YOU WATCH ON TV LAST NIGHT? I've never been one to watch tv. Sometimes I watch a show or two at night and a couple shows when I get home from work everyday, but I hardly watch tv other than the time I'm not at work.
42. FAVORITE SOUND? Other than bathroom noises which always make me laugh (a sad laugh), I love the sound of the fan in our bathroom. Especially because it kind of muffles all the other noises if I'm not feeling good. Other than that I pretty much hate noise because it hurts my ears sometimes if it is loud (really loud)- unless it is bathroom noises, then it's funny. A sad funny.
43. ROLLING STONES OR BEATLES? Is that a joke. They both suck. Once you go Carpenters, you never go back.
44. WHAT IS THE FARTHEST YOU HAVE BEEN FROM HOME? As a child I was kept indoors because of my sun rash. When I travel now, in my adulthood, I have to cover my body with damp rags and tape cotton over my eyelids to keep in constant moisture. So I'm not really sure. They could take me pretty much anywhere in the world (inside a 5 mile radius of my home) without me knowing it.
45.SPECIAL TALENTS? I've been known to sing a little when I'm sad.
46. WHERE WERE YOU BORN? It's been hard to figure this part of my life out. My parents swear I was adopted, but I look a lot like my father. Either they're lying, or my bald sweaty head is.

Memorial Day and my Dad's B-day Pics!

So, here I am, once again posting pics that are waaayyy late! Hopefully I will get caught up before the 24th comes around!

The Saturday before Memorial Day we went up to Heber to visit some of Brad's family's grave sites. We go up with my in-laws, Brad's grandma, and Kristen(Jesse couldn't make it this year)with her kids. This year Brian joined us with his girls. I look forward to this every year. It's become such a fun family tradition.

On Memorial Day we celebrated my Dad's B-day. Everyone came over to my house and had a BBQ. It was so fun!

Yes, we are moving......

It is true. After several months of praying and fasting and discussing and stressing and crying, and did I mention praying, we have decided to move out of our home. It's a LONG story, but I will try and give you the shortened version.

We bought a home in Eagle Mountain back in 2004. Cute little starter home that we just loved. At the time, Brad was working in Draper so the commute wasn't too bad. Me, on the other hand, was working in West Valley. The commute was roughly 50 minutes to an hour one way. After a year of trying, we got pregnant with Kassi. I had a rough pregnancy and missed a lot of work. We started struggling a bit financially cause we needed both our incomes to afford living in our house. After I had Kassi, I just couldn't bring myself to go back to work and leave her everyday. Also, Brad was about to start going to the UofU to get his Bachelors. He would never be home. He was working full time and going to school full time, on top of having at least an hour commute one way. So we decided to sell our home. I wanted to stay home with Kassi, and Brad didn't want to have to spend all his free time on the road.

Luckily my in-laws are amazing, and said they would remodel their basement so we could live in there while Brad finished school. While that was getting done, we moved into my parent's house for almost 6 months. Well, we finally moved into the basement, and thought we would only be there a year or so. We ended up being in there almost 3! We just fell in love with the ward, and loved being so close to family.

So the opportunity came up to buy a house from a couple in our ward that was going on a mission. They would let us do a lease option to help us buy their home. We were so excited! It was a bigger home that our family could grow into, and we were even happier that we didn't have to leave our ward.

Well, everyone knows how fun the economy is now. Because of it, things have changed for us, and we decided that we aren't going to put ourselves in the same situation we were in in Eagle Mountain. We are going to get a home that we can pay for with just Brad's income. My job right now is unstable. I am hoping I can work from home for a long time, but I just don't know for sure what is going to happen in the future.

So as sad as we are to do this, we feel it is the right thing to do, and have come to peace with it. We don't know when we are going to move. It could be 2 months, it could be 6. I really don't know for sure.

I hope this has answered some of your questions. I have received several calls and emails and thought it would be best to just tell everyone on here. I want everyone in my ward who reads this to know how much I love them! You have all taught me so much. I am a better person to have known all of you! And don't think you are getting rid of us! My in-laws are still here, so we will be back to visit for sure!
